Welcome!
|
bras-se-rie (brās ′ Ə -ře′) an unpretentious restaurant, tavern, or the like, that serves drinks, esp. beer, and simple or hearty food.
Bonjour friends, We will be closed for the holiday weekend coming up on Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th for the staff to enjoy the holiday. They are a great hard working group and we appreciate the pride they have in taking care of this place we are so passionate about. Mondays and Tuesdays, all bottles are always $2.00 off. Stop in and try one of our 80+ different bottles. Many new Belgians and more recently added. Also, Tuesday evenings we offer Sliders made with Fountain Prairie Beef, same as our V Burger, each with a different "topping", 3 for $11. Come try some soon. Check out our new beer list when you stop in as we now have descriptions for all 100+ beers we carry on tap and in bottle. Let us know what you think. New Beers on tap at the BV include De Ranke Noir, Oud Beersel Framboise, Konigshoeven Quad and Moylans Dry Irish Stout. Also, to celebrate summer in Wisconsin, a new beer from Kirby at Capital Brewery that gives tribute to the great Supper Clubs of the past. We also have added some great new beers to check out on the bottle list.
Cheers, Matt, Andrea, Rob, and the BV staff

Beer of the Month
St. Druon French Abbey Ale
 | | "Formerly known as Sebourg beer, this 6% abbey ale was rebaptized Saint Druon de Sebourg in 2000, as a tribute to Saint Druon and the little church in Sebourg, the next village to Jenlain. Druon, a homeless but pious orphan, wandered the roads until he settled in the village, and is still honoured and revered by pilgrims each year. The brewery is now one of the church benefactors and contributes to the cost of renovating the edifice. Malted barley and 3 varieties of hops grown in Alsace form the basis of this recipe, which, unlike Duyck's other beers, also contains wheat from the Beauce region of France, milled in the traditional way by Sebourg's miller. And to give it an even more distinctive flavour, the Duyck's use a specific strain of yeast exclusive to the beer. With a generous nose, this beer is best served at between 5 and 6°C to reveal its hints of new mown hay and wild berries." | |
